Curr and Dewar are long established Auctioneers and Valuers tracing their roots back to 1862. Now under the direction of Steven, a fourth generation Dewar in the family business, they continue to provide the same professional service to Solicitors, Banks, Trusts and Public ensuring complete satisfaction.

Steven started his career with Curr & Dewar and gained a professional qualification with The Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers. He then widened his knowledge working in East Anglia and latterly in Darlington. 

You may have seen Steven on BBC Bargain Hunt with David Dickinson and Flog It with Paul Martin, having recorded numerous programmes for recent series.

We conduct regular sales on Tuesdays, commencing at 10am that include Antiques, Quality Furnishings, Collectables and Household Effects; viewing is prior to each sale - Sunday 10am-1pm and Monday 9am-7pm. A catalogue for each sale is available for free from this web site prior to each sale or a copy can be purchased from the Auction Rooms on view and sale days.

We have introduced computers and custom auction software to improve our service to buyers and sellers alike. Always looking to the future we can provide digital images of lots for interested parties, be they in Dundee or Dallas.

Collections and House Clearances are conducted throughout Tayside, Fife, Angus and Perthshire. Our qualified valuer can provide documents for Probate, Insurance and Division.
